One of my goals for 2026 is to spend less time on my phone. I know the irony, considering I work in social media, but I’ve noticed how often I reach for my phone without even thinking about it. Even when I’m watching a show I love, I’ll pause just to scroll because I want something to do with my hands.
What I’ve learned is that I don’t always want to be “productive.” I just want a cozy, low pressure activity that keeps my hands busy and my mind calm. Something that lets me stay present, whether I’m watching TV, listening to an audiobook, or winding down at night.
These no phone hobbies have helped me slow down without feeling bored. Some are perfect for multitasking while watching a show, and others are more of a single focus activity when I want quiet. All of them feel comforting, simple, and easy to reach for instead of scrolling.
At the bottom of this post, I’ve linked everything I’ve tried so far and genuinely enjoyed. I’ll keep adding to this list as I discover more cozy hobbies that help me stay off my phone and more in the moment.
If you’re craving a calmer routine, want to romanticize your evenings a little more, or just need something to do with your hands that isn’t scrolling, I hope this gives you a few ideas to try.
