Over the past few months we’ve been slowly working on updating my in-laws kitchen and dining room, and it has been such a fun project to be part of. The goal was to make the space feel warmer, more inviting, and a little more timeless while still keeping it practical for everyday life.

If you saw the reveal on my social media, you probably noticed that the space already feels dramatically different. But I want to be very transparent that the room is not completely finished yet. We’re still working on some of the finishing touches like artwork, styling, and a few decorative details that will really help bring the whole space together.
Even though those final layers are still coming, a lot of you have been asking for the sources of the bigger pieces that helped transform the space. I’ve linked everything we’ve chosen so far so it’s easy to find.
The barstools were one of the first things we picked because they help connect the kitchen to the rest of the room. We wanted something comfortable enough for people to actually sit in for a while, but still classic enough to work with the style of the house.
The dining chairs were another important piece since they take up so much visual space in the room. We chose chairs that feel timeless and comfortable, something that will age well and still look beautiful years from now.
Lighting made a huge difference in how the room feels. The new light fixtures added warmth and helped soften the space compared to the old lighting. Good lighting can completely change the mood of a room, especially in a kitchen and dining area where people gather.
The faucet was another detail we didn’t want to overlook. It’s one of those pieces you use every single day, so choosing something both functional and beautiful makes a big impact.
And of course, the dining table is really the heart of the whole space. It’s where everyone gathers, eats, and spends time together, so we wanted something sturdy, classic, and welcoming.
Below you’ll find all of the sources for the pieces we’ve added so far. As we continue adding the finishing touches to the room, I’ll keep updating this post with the final styling details as well.
